About the Process

Many projects begin with a number of pictures of the installation site and clients may either select an existing sculpture or request a new design. Client’s may request certain Pantone colors to be used in the sculpture. Libby begins with a three dimensional layout of the design matched to the installation site. The second step is to establish the requested colors. A number of test tiles are made to match the Pantone colors. Next, the tiles and the three dimensional layout are sent to the client for approval. Once the approval is given, Libby asks for 1/2 deposit of the cost of the sculpture. Depending on the number of objects in the sculpture, the time frame for completing the work runs six to eight weeks. Separate charges accrue for installation by Libby Ware Studios, including per diem (transportation/lodging/food) and the right to photograph and publish the installation (protecting the privacy of the owner).
